This is a Java implementation
of the leader formulas program posted to the Flyfish listserver in 1995. Bruce
Conner originally implemented this in Visual Basic. This page
obviously requires a browser that also supports Java!
I don't usually tie leaders...I'm lazy and get the tapered commercial ones. However, I think this is good info to have available on the Web. I did win a pack of leader material at the local TU banquet in November 1996, so maybe I should start tying some leaders.
According to Bruce's help screen in the VB application, the lengths suggested by the program do not include the amount needed to tie the sections together (but that should be obvious!).
